ProjectKindness has saved 3+ tonnes of food from going to landfill, over the last 12 months, by collecting leftover items from supermarkets and redistributing it in the community.
When we waste food, we also waste all the energy and water it takes to grow, harvest, transport, and package it. And if food goes to the landfill and rots, it produces a greenhouse gas even more potent than carbon dioxide.
ProjectKindness is committed to reducing food waste and the impact on the environment as well as ensuring that those who are undernourished have enough food.
