The new year might be in full swing, but we’ve been looking back on 2025 with such fondness that we thought we might share a few of our favourite bits and pieces from the year that was. Here is a collection of wonderful moments that made last year one of our best yet, not only for our team here at ProjectKindness, but especially for our Kindness Recipients. If you were at all part of our efforts throughout 2025, we appreciate you more than you could know. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
ProjectKindness Community Outreach Van with Orica Funding
2025 was the year we got into the swing of things with our community outreach programme. We filled our van with donated goods and found a spot in Waterloo to set up once a week. Each week we were able to help people doing it tough by providing them with basic essentials like non-perishable foods, blankets, toiletries, and more. We were also lucky enough to gain some incredible funding of $4,500 proudly supported by the Orica Botany Community Investment Program. We are thrilled to continue offering this service into 2026 and hopefully beyond.

Kindness Cupboards
Our Kindness Cupboards continue to be a staple across Sydney, spaces where people can take what they need and leave what they can. They are filled with wonderful items like non-perishable foods and toiletries that may seem like the basics, but to someone living below the poverty line, they are everything.
Kids Kindness Libraries
Another fantastic initiative that really hit the ground running in 2025, our Kindness Libraries provide underpriviliged kids the joy of reading through books they may not be able to access otherwise. We’ve had some incredible feedback from our Kindness Library partners including this…
“The feedback about the library continues to be overwhelmingly positive and helps to engage families who struggle to engage with reading. In the last month we have had a family who we know have no books at home tell us how much they appreciate these books and have started reading to their children.”
Feel Good May Campaign and National Community Day Support with Mirvac
We had a wonderful time partnering with Mirvac and The Event Space for their Feel Good May initiative which saw ProjectKindness-inspired Kindness Calendars available in many Mirvac locations throughout Sydney and Melbourne. This was an incredible opportunity for people to get to know ProjectKindness, so we cannot thank them enough.
Additionally, a lovely group of Mirvac employees came together to support ProjectKindness on their National Community Day. This is a day where Mirvac staff support a charity or organisation for a day to be a ‘force for good’. Again, we are just so grateful for Mirvac’s support throughout the past year.

Year 6 Girls Giving Back
A group of wonderful girls decided to put together kindness packs and write inspiring cards for the recipients so they could do some good deeds as part of turning 12 years old this year. We cannot thank this group of young people enough for their incredible kindness and generosity. They give us much hope for the future.

Whoosh After School Care Milkshake & Cookies Fundraiser
For the fourth year in a row, the amazing kids, educators, and families at Whoosh After School Care, based at Bourke St Public School, rallied together to raise funds for ProjectKindness. The kids ran their very own milkshake and cookie bar, selling tasty treats to friends and family for a great cause.

Sneak Peek at ProjectKindness Hoodies in the Works
Toward the end of 2025, we decided to give you all a sneak peek at our upcoming ProjectKindness hoodie design. It’s still in the works but we are so excited to keep you updated as they progress.

Kindness Packs Are Now Home Hampers
As of December 2025, our traditional ProjectKindness hampers evolved into something even more meaningful; our new ‘Kindness Home Hampers’. Every hamper will now be delivered as a complete pack of essential household items, thoughtfully curated to support individuals and families as they settle into a new space or are in need of the household basics for their current home. From bedding to kitchen utensils and appliances, non-perishable groceries to toiletries, and more, these packs are an absolute lifesaver for many of our Kindness Recipients.
Christmas Fundraiser Show with SPEED Band
Last, but certainly not least, ProjectKindness was lucky enough to be part of Sydney band SPEED’s Christmas event fundraiser initiative where ticket holders were asked to bring a non-perishable food item or new toy along to the show to donate to us. When they delivered the donations to our home base after the show, we were absolutely in awe of just how many people had participated. If you were part of this massive effort, we cannot thank you enough.

Gosh, what a phenomenal year 2025 was. Let’s fill 2026 with just as much kindness, compassion, and hope.
Much love,
💖 Team PK
