Fifty households in need across Sydney’s south-eastern suburbs will receive a Kindness Hamper that contains both essential food and items which help make a house a home, like bedding, pots and pans and towels, from Project Kindness, thanks to a $10,000 Jemena Community Grant.
Jemena is an energy infrastructure company which delivers gas to 1.4 million customers in NSW and electricity to more than 360,000 homes and businesses in northern and western Melbourne.
Jemena’s Community Grants program supports organisations, groups, schools and charities making a positive difference for their, and our, local communities across New South Wales and Victoria.
In 2022, Jemena has awarded $170,000 in direct grants to 21 local groups working to address community needs across four key social areas: energy and environmental sustainability, innovation, social inclusion and reconciliation, and social disadvantage.
Jemena believes that what is important to their customers and their communities is important to them. Their grants help community programs to continue, resulting in people staying socially connected and have access to the essentials they need.
The generosity of organisations such as Jemena helps ProjectKindness achieve it’s purpose of reducing the vulnerability and and improving the day to day living of our Kindness Recipients.
